Seniors
The City of Altamonte Springs Special Community Services is devoted to organizing and running activities and programs for senior citizens in Altamonte Springs and surrounding communities. Programs and activities are sponsored by the City of Altamonte Springs. Events take place at either Eastmonte Recreation Center or Westmonte Recreation Centers, and at various venues within Altamonte Springs and throughout Florida.

2013 SENIOR TRIPS
Trips depart from the Eastmonte Civic Center located at 830 Magnolia Drive in Altamonte Springs. A 30-person minimum is required. Payments can be made over the phone with a credit card, online, in person at Westmonte Park or by mail.
May 9 – Victory Casino Cruise
Spend a fun-filled day at sea on the largest gambling boat in the water! Cost of $36 includes RT transportation, full buffet, live entertainment and $10 in free slot play. Departing at 8:45 am and returning at 5:00 pm.

June 20 – Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show
Join us for a comedy, mystery show where you become the detective and solve the crime. Cost of $57 includes transportation, dinner and the show. Departing at 6:15 pm and returning at 10:30 pm
July 11 – Hard Rock Casino
Come with us for a fun day at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. Cost of $25 includes round trip transportation. According to the new Hard Rock Casino policy, Free play vouchers are no longer included.
August 22 – Winter Park Playhouse
Journey back to the 1950’s when four young male singers are miraculously revived for a posthumous chance to perform the show that never was. Lunch at the Imperial Dynasty before the show. Cost of $60 includes transportation, lunch and the show. Departing at 11:15 am and returning at 4:30 pm
November 15 - 18 - Royal Caribbean Cruise: 3-Night Bahamas Cruise
Join us for 4 days and 3 nights aboard the Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas, departing from Port Canaveral. Interior, oceanview and balony prices available. Cruise deposit due by July 1 and balance due by August 7. For more info click on the flyer below:

ACTIVITIES
Pickleball: If you are interested in playing Pickleball please contact Fran Carrozza at 407-571-8813 or fcarrozza@altamonte.org. Games will be played at Eastmonte Park on either Monday or Tuesday mornings.
Pickleball flyer (PDF)
Senior Bowling: league play is every Tuesday starting at 12 pm at the AMF Lanes off Douglas Ave in Altamonte. Cost is $6 per week.
Senior Bocce: The Senior Bocce Ball League season is held October through mid-May. The cost to join the league is $15 per participant and includes the end-of-season luncheon, holiday luncheon and awards. Practice games are held Wednesdays starting 9:30am and bocce ball games are held Fridays starting at 9:30am.
Senior Cards: bring a group and play your favorite game of cards every Wednesday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Eastmonte Civic Center.
Cost is $1 per week.
Bunko: is played on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 12 – 2:00 pm at the Eastmonte Civic Center. Cost is $5 per person for prize money.
Computer Skills Classes: Basic and Intermediate classes are held from 8 – 10:00 am at the Altamonte Springs City Library located on Maitland Ave. For more information please contact Robert McKinness at 407-571-8837.
