Seniors
The City of Altamonte Springs Special Community Services is devoted to organizing and running activities and programs for senior citizens in Altamonte Springs and surrounding communities. Programs and activities are sponsored by the City of Altamonte Springs. Events take place at either Eastmonte Recreation Center or Westmonte Recreation Centers, and at various venues within Altamonte Springs and throughout Florida.

13th Annual Senior Health Fair
Join us for this FREE event open to all ages. Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 10am to 1pm. Located at Eastmonte Civic Center, 830 Magnolia Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701.
Fair includes: Blood pressure and gluclose test, balance test, memory screening, auditory and vision testing, senior agencies and health professional guests.

SENIOR TRIPS
Trips depart from the Eastmonte Civic Center located at 830 Magnolia Drive in Altamonte Springs. A 30-person minimum is required. Payments can be made over the phone with a credit card, in person at the Westmonte Park or by mail.
Dec 17 – Show Palace Dinner Theatre, Hudson
Each year the Show Palace celebrates Christmas and Hanukkah with an exhilarating performance for all ages. Cost of $65 includes transportation, buffet and admission to the show (gratuity not included). Departing at 9:00 am and returning at 6:30 pm.
Jan 23 – Webster Flea Market
Located on 40 acres and including 1,200 dealers, the Webster Flea Market has something for everyone. Cost of $20 includes transportation. Departing at 9:00 am and returning at 4:00 pm.
February 9 - Sleuths Mystery Dinner Theater
Join us for an evening of fun and mystery. Cost of $60 includes transportation, dinner and the show. Departing at 6:30pm and returning at 10:30pm.
March 1 - Strawberry Festival
The Strawberry Festival is back! Enjoy the various exhibits, free entertainment and fresh made strawberry shortcake. Cost of $35 includes transportation and admission. Departing at 9:00am and returning at 5:30pm.
April 5 - Hard Rock Casino
Join us for a fun day at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. Cost of $25 includes transportation, $25 in free play and a $5 meal voucher. Departing at 8:00am and returning at 5:00pm.
May 5 - Dixie Crossroads and Cocoa Village Playhouse
Enjoy lunch at the famous Dixie Crossroads restaurant in Titusville. After lunch we will watch a performance of "Cabaret" at the historic Cocoa Village Playhouse. Cost of $75 includes transportation, lunch and admission to the musical. Departing at 10:00am and returning at 5:00pm.
June 14 - Cirque du Soleil
Join us for an extraordinary evening at Downtown Disney's Westside for a performance at La Nouba. Cost of $90 includes transportation and admission. Departing at 4:00pm and returning at 9:00pm.

FALL-WINTER ACTIVITIES
Senior Bowling: at the AMF Lanes on Douglas Ave in Altamonte Springs every Tuesday at noon. The 2011-2012 season starts September 6th. Cost is $6.00 per week. There will be an upfront fee of $20 per person to cover weekly snacks and luncheons.
Senior Bocce: come out for a fun game on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am. League play starts Friday October 7th. Games are played at Westmonte Park in Altamonte Springs. Cost for the Friday league is $15 for the season that runs October through May. We are looking for new players so if you are interested please call Fran Carrozza at 407-571-8813.
Senior Cards: play your favorite game of cards every Wednesday at the Eastmonte Civic Center from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Cost is $1 per week.
